Why Vaastu is Necessary?

Vastu2

Vaastu considered the interplay of various forces of nature involving the five elements of earth, water, air, fire and ether (space or sky) and strives to maintain equilibrium as these elements influence, guide and change the living styles of not only human beings but every living being on earth. Thus they influence our deeds, luck, behaviour and other basics of life.

Vaastu Shastra is the sublime elucidation of your surrounding and their influence on your life. Vaastu literally means " house" or Dwelling Place and its principles establish to create a harmony between the fine elements viz. Earth, Ether(Space or Sky), Fire, Water and Air in the environment.

Conforming to principles of vaastu a house, office, business or factory premises brings mental peace and prosperity to the owner/occupier in the shape of good business progress with least possible tensions, domestic bliss of a high order, happiness through progeny etc.  non-conformity brings about miseries/hassles/tensions through such specific factors of  deviations from the principles affecting that specific imbalance in nature. For example, if the northern portion is more elevated than the southern portion then that household will witness financial distress; if the entrance in the east faces south-east it results in poverty, court litigation, robbery or fire accident.  Similarly, numerous benefits can be cited for compliance with norms and dicta  of vastu and numerous problems for non-compliance with such norms and dicta.  It is physically impossible to narrate all these here. The  object is to highlight  the increasing  relevance of vastu  for a generally smooth and purposeful living with least possible tensions and maximum possible happiness and peace.  The principles of vastu, if judiciously applied, confer peace, prosperity and divine joy on the grihastha (household).

Vaastu is essentially an oriental science and hence more widely accepted and practiced in the Orient. Similar Science is known as Feng Shui in Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand etc. 'Feng Shui' in Chinese means "wind-water" and has been essentially developed in China. It is the Chinese science and art of placement whereby man can place himself in a manner so as to be able to live in harmony with his environment. In India vastu is a more elaborately perfected science in as much as it takes into account the "Pancha-Bhutas",and thus harmony with nature is more compatible than in "Feng-Shui".

Utilisation of such energies gives us pleasure peace, prosperity and money etc in our life. Now a days we are having National Building code, which gives us certain regulations to construct building, whereas in past our ancestors were having Vaastu Shastra as a religious & rigourics code. Thus Vaastu is rational, as it is scientific, it is permanent as it is based on directions and directions are unchangeable. It is beneficial as it is a bridge between man, material and nature and above all it is practical, as it is very simple to follow.
